Thank you very much guys, I can totally understand why you loved that one, that carefree yet intense feeling, the simple pleasure of having sex, the joy to grab a liked one’s first time after having teased him, and also from the boy’s point of view… Sweet
I don’t want to look too full of myself, however, would you be interested in an alternative version of the images ?
I’m (far too much) maniac about it, when I like a lot a manga and I decide to keep it permanently in my “favorites” partition, I’ll see if I can improve it with cleaning, retouching, fixing, levelling, cover adjusting, and the like.
And, in the present case, there were a few easy fixes I performed :
- cropping : no more page-shaped shades around the image coming from the scanning. It took a bit of time, each page had to be made by hand.
- levelling : I like my greys grey, but my blacks have to be black ^^
- attempt to see if I could do something to the cover and backcover, I’m not too sure it’s an improvement (the “grainy paper” appearance had a certain charm), so I also kept the “only cropped” original.
Well, that’s for my edits.

Just forgot to mention surface blurring, too. Photoshop’s Surface Blur filter is like my best friend since I started using picture editing software.

You took the words right out of my mouth. However, your smooth version has its own appeal, I cannot deny.
In general, I typically like the greys over sharp black-and-white, it feels more like you’re reading a physical magazine than staring at a monitor. Monitors take away the lighting aspect, so I find black-and-white a bit too harsh sometimes. That’s why, if the scan isn’t bad we’ll usually leave it (and we typically avoid bad scans).
With that being said, I can absolutely understand the opposite perspective where, as you put it, “[the] blacks have to be black.” We appreciate you going through the trouble and for linking the changes. I’m happy to put it up on the post, if you have no objections.

I think I should have saved first the “cropped only” version, now that I think of it. Oh, well, what’s done is done.
